Studying the female figure gives me a higher sense of who I am and what I am made out of.  My days spent in the new studio space in Italy bring me back to countless hours of Foundations class in art school in which I found my fluid stroke while painting nudes.  Having had the limitation of no live models over the last 7 years ,  I grew determined to reacquaint myself with the female form and discovered a fabulous website that allows me to purchase and download poses shot from 360 degrees. 

Lately my inspiration is drawn from multi-dimensional thinking and being.  I've been doing Yoga for 12 years and am most influenced by Kundalini in particular. I approach my artwork with clarity and innovation because of yoga and meditation.  It keeps me fluid, balanced, and helps unblock those creative blocks.

In conjunction with the power of Kundalini, I have been reading a book called "The Living Universe" by Duane Elgin which has stimulated my creativity lately.  I'm drawn to the idea that there is so much more out there, that we are specs among the infinite, and that we are part of the fluidity of the living universe.  Awareness is an awakening, and I'm trying to capture that sensation.

In the meantime, I continue to have great chemistry sessions in the studio searching for new techniques and reinforcing old ones.  Please browse the sketchbook section to see the birth and evolution of these works.
